Pace is responsible for the BC-09 (General Trades) scope of work on this project. Which includes about 60 different specifications. A few of the big ticket items are all the site concrete work and decorative pavers, carpentry blocking throughout every classroom and throughout the building, installing a Rainwater Harvesting tank and pump filtration system to recycle the rain water for the irrigation system, Fluid Applied Air Barrier had to be sprayed on the exterior of the whole building and 3” of Thermal Insulation was install on the interior walls throughout the building to make it Air Tight. Fireproofing all the MEP floor penetrations, wall penetrations and metal ceiling deck in the Penthouse. With the Fireproofing we are using UL (Underwriters Laboratories) systems to firestop all 2hr fire rated areas. Other items include all the Decorative Glass Railings like the ones at the Yum Center, 50 different size Projection Screens, Motorized Roller Shades, Glass Marker Boards, U of L Logos, Epoxy Flooring, Wood Flooring, Interior Architectural Woodwork, Setting all Doors and Security Hardware, Aluminum Composite Metal Panels in the Atrium. The list goes on and on.
The job is worth about $5,750,000 dollars. The project was completed in early August 2018. Pace Contracting did a great job and worked extra hours to stay ahead of the schedule and came in under the budget. Another wonderful job to be proud of!
